Royal Society Sculptors Summer Show 2024
I am delighted to have been selected to join members and fellows of the Royal Society of Sculptors hosting their annual Summer Show at Dora House. The exhibition opens to the public on Monday 22nd July  and closes on Saturday 21st September 2024 in South Kensington, London.

This year’s theme is Reality Check, selected by special guest curator David McAlmont.  A renowned British recording artist, art historian and tutor at Architectural Association Interprofessional studio.

Discussing the theme, McAlmont comments; ” We can be excused for asking, ‘What is real anymore?’ Perhaps, then, it is time for a reality check.”

The painted bronze work, ‘My Mother’s Teeth’, supports this statement in this provocative form of representation. The fabrication captures the horror and brutality inflicted upon a matriarch by the nation’s healthcare professionals. The work examines the very essence of truth and questions presentation and authenticity in contemporary society.
